Learn about the BOOST experience and hear how BOOST grants have helped small start-ups increase their impact in the Great Lakes Region.

Fresh Coast Capital (2014 BOOST Winner) – An impact-driven investment and real estate development firm with an environmental and social mission. We were founded in 2014 with the mission of revitalizing post-industrial communities across the United States through innovative and sustainable investment solutions.

Gardeneers (2014 BOOST Winner) – Founded in 2014 by Teach For America alumni May Tsupros and Adam Zmick, Gardeneers partners with schools to create and sustain effective garden programs.

Octavia’s Natural Hare Care Experience (2015 BOOST Winner) –  Promoting and providing services that simulate the vitality of naturally textured hair while inspiring change in the community by advocating for a green lifestyle.  The Green and Natural movement is the salon’s public awareness campaign.  This multifaceted movement is a grass roots call to action to impact social, economic and environmental change in Chicago’s Southland community by working to expand its livable communities.

The Delta Emerging Leaders (DELs) work as an extension of Delta Institute to create programming that engages and empowers young leaders to advance innovation and sustainability in Chicago.
