Thirsty Thursdays: Fostering Urban Biodiversity
February 2, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm| Free
Thirsty for biomimicry knowledge?
This month’s topic: Urban Biodiversity
Join us in welcoming Professor Emily Minor of University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) to learn more about how fostering urban biodiersity improves the resilience of our local ecosystems, and how learning and applying the lessons of diversity can help make our own communities more resilient. Hosted by DLR Group at 333 W Wacker Dr, Chicago, IL – thank you DLR!
Join us for our biomimicry happy hour discussions where you will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about, explore and discuss biomimicry, challenges facing our built environment, and opportunities for rethinking our approach to these challenges through a biomimicry lens
- Contribute your expertise to strengthen the group’s understanding of both the challenges and opportunities for using biomimicry in the built environment
- Connect with like-minded colleagues from a wide diversity of backgrounds interested in driving true sustainability and resiliency in our cities
We will also bring some drinks to satify your other thirst – please bring a little cash or make a donation online through Eventbrite to help cover costs!
